Dr Peter Boutsalis
Plant Science Consulting
Dr Peter Boutsalis is a leading Australian weed scientist and founder of Plant Science Consulting (PSC), an Adelaide-based company specialising in herbicide resistance testing. With more than 25 years’ experience in herbicide resistance research both in Australia and overseas, Peter is recognised nationally and internationally for his practical expertise and contribution to resistance management.
In addition to his consulting work, Peter is an independent agricultural consultant and researcher with the University of Adelaide, continuing to advance knowledge on herbicide resistance mechanisms, weed ecology, and integrated weed management. His evidence-based approach and deep technical understanding make him a highly respected contributor to industry projects focused on improving on-farm and roadside weed control outcomes.
Jeanette Gellard
Strategic Facilitator | Engagement Specialist | Founder, Innovative Influences
Jeanette Gellard is a highly regarded strategic facilitator and engagement specialist with more than 30 years’ experience across the environmental, agricultural, and natural resource sectors. As founder of Innovative Influences, she works with government agencies, boards, and communities to shape strategy, evaluate programs, and work through complex challenges using collaborative and participatory approaches.
Renowned for her engaging facilitation style, Jeanette designs and delivers highly interactive workshops that translate complex issues into meaningful discussions and clear outcomes. She draws on co-design and systems thinking to create inclusive processes where diverse voices are heard and shared ownership is built.
Her work spans stakeholder engagement strategies, biodiversity and biosecurity planning, water and wetland policy, and regional sustainability frameworks. She has facilitated national consultations, cross-sector planning sessions, and community co-design initiatives for organisations including the Murray-Darling Basin Authority, Green Adelaide, and Hort Innovation Australia.
Jeanette currently serves on the Kangaroo Island Landscape Board and has previously held roles with the SA Native Vegetation Council and Australasia-Pacific Extension Network. Awarded the Centenary Medal for her service to the rural sector, she is recognised for her ability to connect people, policy, and practice—ensuring strategies are both visionary and practical.
Katrina Tite
Content & Strategic Communications Specialist
Katrina Tite is a content and communications specialist who helps organisations turn complex ideas into clear, engaging stories. She has worked with government agencies, professional associations, and community organisations to capture insights, highlight outcomes, and communicate in ways that connect with their audiences.
With expertise in digital content strategy, case study development, and communication campaigns, Kat is skilled at translating technical information into practical, plain-English content that drives understanding and action. Her background in organisational change and transformation gives her a strong appreciation of how to balance multiple perspectives and communicate lessons learned in ways that support collaboration and behavioural change.
For this project, Kat will lead the development of the case studies, bringing together stakeholder perspectives, resistance testing results, and economic considerations into accessible, evidence-based narratives that can inform future roadside weed management across South Australia.
